The Ladies Auxiliary has been active at FMBC for years – one of our ladies was on the committee that began the Ladies Auxiliary for the entire state of Florida. We meet monthly, the first Monday night of each month.  We have a devotion, usually have snacks, take up an offering and take care of our business.  Last, we share prayer requests.  This is one of the most amazing parts of what our Ladies Auxiliary does, because there are some prayer warriors in our group.

We have a set of goals that we support quarterly, including the national and state Bible and Tract Funds, the goals of both the National Women’s Auxiliary and our own state Ladies Auxiliary.  We support the ABA Disaster Fund, Macedonian Missionary Service and Rachel Hurley, who works with Wycliff.   We meet with other churches quarterly at a  District Ladies Meeting, and our whole purpose is just to be a help to our church.  Over the years, the Ladies Auxiliary has done several large projects, including blinds for the sanctuary, and decorating the baptismal dressing areas.  We have a “Baptistery Buddy” who helps people get ready for baptism and who takes care of the towels and robes after baptism services.  Our ladies tend to our shut-ins, and try to find ways to be encouraging to those in our church.

We also look within our own church for needs that we can help – whether it’s financially, sending  cards or flowers, or just praying!
