Senior Pastor
Pastor David Price is the senior pastor here at First Missionary Baptist Church. He joined the staff at FMBC in 2007 after serving for 32 years at Grace Baptist Church in Bowie, Maryland. While in Maryland, he served for 5 years as Associate Pastor and 27 years as Senior Pastor. He holds a B.A. from Washington Bible College, and a M.A. from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Price grew up in Auburndale, and was saved after hearing a youth choir from First Missionary sing at another church. He came back to Auburndale with a love for its history and a vision for its future. He is thankful for the rich heritage of this great church and is excited to reach the next generation and the local community for Jesus Christ. Pastor Price has a passion for preaching God's word, which is evident each Sunday as he teaches how God's word can change lives. He also has a passion for reaching people by preaching the Gospel, building relationships, and involving people in ministry in the local church. Pastor Price is passionate as well about his family and he and his wife Debbie have been married for over 45 years. Debbie is the "Just Us Girls" ministry team leader and enjoys using her gifts of hospitality and creativity to get to know and connect the women in the church. They have a son Jeremy and daughter-in-law Karen, and a daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Jimmy Petterec, who is also on staff here at FMBC. He has four grandchildren, Madison Grace, Trevor David, Reagan Patrick, and Ainsley Faith. Spending time with his family is the joy of his life. His other great joy is being a pastor and from the youngest baby in the nursery to the oldest person in the pew, Pastor Price wants you to know that you are important to God and welcomed here at First Missionary Baptist Church.
Youth And Music Pastor
Pastor Jimmy Petterec is both youth pastor and worship leader at FMBC. Before joining the staff here in 2007, he spent 2 years as a worship leader and associate pastor at a church plant, then served at Grace Baptist Church in youth and music ministry for 5 years in Bowie, MD. He holds a B.S. in Youth Ministry from Liberty University and a Masters of Arts and Religion from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Jimmy runs the Fuel youth ministry which includes Wednesday night youth group, Sunday School, and various youth activities. Together, Jimmy and his wife Jennifer use their passion for worship and musical skills to help lead our praise team for our worship services. Jimmy also trains new workers in the media ministry. He and wife Jennifer are busy raising their three children, Madison, Trevor, Ainsley and most free time includes spending time as a family, building relationships, and playing music.
